Here is preschool we were so super lucky and got to go to the bowling alley for a field trip. For most of the kiddos, it was their first time bowling. We had a blast! I had so many kiddos come up to me and say "this is the most special day ever. We are so lucky!" I guess preschoolers are easy to please :)

And It's STILL Snowing...
We've been lucky these past few weeks to really experience some great winter weather! In our class we have been learning all about snow animals, the letter M, N, and O. We've also been getting pretty good at writing our names :)
First up...penguin water bottles. After reading Penguins, by Gail Gibbons, we made a chart about what we knew about penguins, then of course had to do an art project. I had parents bring in empty water bottles (thank you!!!) and we made these precious little guys.
Next we worked on writing our name because it starts with letter N...and we needed the practice :) I made these awesome tracer's that I saw one the kindergarten teachers use. My kids weren't ready to use them at the beginning of the year, but are now doing GREAT!
Finally we decided it was a polar bear type of day...we got TONS of snow and only half the afternoon class came because we "unofficially" cancelled school. The kids had a blast making these masks out of paper plates.
Up next...dinosaurs and Valentine's Day!!

Winter Wonderland
Well! Last week was a successful week where we learned all about the letter M. We made our letter M chart and decorated mittens! We also transformed our room into a winter wonderland. We focused quite a bit on snowmen projects! Take a look...
We made snowmen with puffy paint and buttons...
We also made snowmen out of toilet paper rolls (my favorite!)
After having a great week back, then weather decided to turn on us and we had 2 snow days! And of course, those snow days happened to fall on Tuesday and Thursday, which is when we come to school. So here's what I did on my days off :) Hope everyone enjoyed the weather as much as I did!
Took the pup, Wilson, for a walk in what felt like Antarctica...
Made some delicious food... caprese chicken, zucchini fries and cous cous.
Eggplant parmesan "roll-ups"
And reese's cupcakes from scratch...
My husband was pretty happy that I had days off :) I'm looking forward to next week when I actually get to see my kiddos! Happy Winter!

Christmas in Mrs. Kloss' Class
SO SORRY for the late post! I left my camera in my classroom and was out of town for the holiday. We had so much fun preparing for the holidays and then celebrating during our Christmas party! We started out by making crafts to give to our families:)
Peppermint ornaments with red hot candy details...
Snowflake ornaments made out of popsicle sticks, puzzle pieces, paint and glitter...
Wreaths made out of our hand prints...
Santa faces made out of paper plates and cotton ball beards...
Christmas lights with our thumb prints...
Christmas trees made out of glitter paint. Squeeze the paint on one side, fold on half, open up and magic!
And finally we topped everything off by making gingerbread houses at our Christmas party!
Thanks for checking everything out. We really enjoyed our holiday time and can't wait to kick off the new year!

Thanksgiving and Special Friends Day
In our class we were busy making Thanksgiving decorations, learning about the first Thanksgiving and trying to explain to preschoolers what "thankful" means. I asked one student what he was thankful for and he looked at me with a puzzled look. I then said, "what are you really happy that you have?" He thought and thought and finally answered with "my mouth." Ohhhhhh the simplicity of preschool :)
Our first craft was making turkeys out of toilet paper rolls...so cute.
We then worked on our own place mats for the upcoming Thanksgiving dinner...
We also worked on the letter F this week. We Fingerpained with Foam. The foam is made out of shaving cream, glue and paint to simply dye it the color you choose. Going to have to give Mrs. Sensing credit for that recipe. The kids loved it!
Lastly, we finally got to have Special Friend's Day! Each student got to bring in someone special, we made Thanksgiving crafts together and got to have a feast in the cafeteria. It was a very fun and special day for everyone!
Thanks for stopping by! Next up...Christmas in Mrs. Kloss' class :)
